We have outfitted William Yan, a New York based street photography and blogger, with a Leica X1 to cover the comings and goings surrounding New York Fashion Week. His snapshots prove that there’s just as much style on the streets of New York City as on the runways.
I never know what I’m going to shoot during NYFW nor what I’m going to end up getting a lot of until a few days into the week. It seems that I’ve been catching a lot of people in all sorts of patterns from florals, stripes, and polka dots to plaids, camouflages and even ethnic ones; men and women are not afraid to wear them. I love how well thought out some of the outfits are and how even a few dared to pair a few different patterns and colors together to take it to a another level.
