Daniel Zvereff is a freelance designer, illustrator and photographer. He travels to the far corners of the world documenting his journeys through images and journals.
I treated Ürümqi as my gateway into Central Asia. Situated in the northwest, it is the capital of the Xinjiang province of China. The city has a great amount of contrast with two very separate type of people living here, the Han Chinese and the Uyghur people. I spent roughly four days photographing the people.

The 15th photo was printed with wrong side from left to right which I guess because you can’t read Chinese slogan printed on the back wall. The man should be carrying the bag with his right hand.

Sorry, I mean the man should be carrying the bag with his left hand
